Wow, that was relatively painless. I'm quite impressed.
Setup
I used the SQL server setup, and all I had to do here was replace a config file, run the database script, and change the connection string in the config file.
Customizations
Seeing as I wasn't too happy with the way the theme wrote the title and description of the blog, I just found the site's theme's master page, used that to find the style sheet and changed it to what I thought was more aesthetic.
Next I wanted to add new sections, which are the music and photo sections. That was quite a bit of work, but nonetheless I got them done. Used a free flash plugin for the music player and created the photo album myself (though I'm sure there are better ways to do it, I just threw it together to get it done).
Conclusion
It was a very painless process, now let's hope I actually make use of this blog. If anyone would like advise or help setting it up, feel free to contact me!
Happy coding...
